Description Walter Vermeir 2008-02-14 19:35:34 UTC
There is a WAP protal at http://en.wap.wikipedia.org but there is nothing behind http://wap.wikipedia.org I suggest to setup a redirect or basic page with some links.

As it turns out, wap is actually a 3-letter ISO 639-3 language code, so we need to reserve wap.wikipedia.org for a potential Wikipedia in Wapishana:

http://www.ethnologue.com/show_language.asp?code=wap

However, we've been deprecating the '*.wap' hostnames anyway in favor of http://mobile.wikipedia.org and its subdomains... where it does function without the subdomain (pulling from Accept-Language header or defaulting to English, with override possible).

So... sort of FIXED, sort of WONTFIX. ;) I'll mark it FIXED.
