Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Wiredtape 2008-01-26 18:30:37 UTC
currently ajaxsearch.js (mw/skins/common/) waits for 3 letters before executing the search.. It would be nice if this could be changed outside of the script without needing to edit it directly (and remembering not to overwrite it when updating)...

Patch to linker.php

I'm not sure if this works. It seems almost /too/ easy. Can someone more familiar with this part of the code take a look? Thanks.
Comment 2 Chad H. 2008-01-27 16:24:30 UTC
Ignore all that. Wrong bug.
Comment 3 Brion Vibber 2008-12-28 22:04:59 UTC
The old ajax search has been retired, and the new one (mwsuggest) doesn't enforce a minimum in this way.
