Description Alex Z. 2007-11-17 01:30:56 UTC
When patrolled edits for newpages was turned on recently for the English Wikipedia, it was set so that only sysops could mark pages as patrolled. This is not the most desirable setting as many of the users who could use this are not admins.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:New_pages_patrol/patrolled_pages for a developing consensus (as of this post unanimous) for this change.
