I see many external links to the account creation form, so maybe it's better to add a redirect, e.g. Special:Creataccount, which would go to /index.php?title=Special:Userlogin&type=signup. 
This would allow internal linking to the account creation form.

Done with r30070: Add alias [[Special:CreateAccount]] & [[Special:Userlogin/signup]] for Special:Userlogin?type=signup
