Description Eysteinn Gudni Gudnason 2007-09-21 05:57:55 UTC
The current summary window while uploading images is very small by default. Commons and probably a few other projects have changed it so that it's bigger. This should be done for all projects. At least two, or even three times bigger.

Commons and other projects are using the upload summary as a template editor rather than a (textual) "summary".

Now, 4 years later, Commons has a javascript enhanced and elaborate form for these fields which many wikis have adapted. And aside from that, there's also [[mw:Extension:UploadWizard]] which goes even further.

I'm marking this bug as WONTFIX. Wikis using the summary as a summary won't need it do be bigger. Those using it for advanced templates should probably be using an extension or a gadget to replace the form.

Reopening. This is still useful for other, non WMF wikis, at least until UW is bundelled with MediaWiki.
