It is sometime very useful to transclude templates from other wikis especially for small wikis. If I am an English Wikipedia user and I want to transclude a template from the French Wikisource I would write {{s:fr:Example template}} (which is the same as for interwikis but using {{}}). Please enable this.

I would almost go so far to say that it requires bug 9890 first, as we don't want this to be enabled without it being efficient.

I would be inclined to say that this should be WONTFIXed in favor of bug 4547, but I think that's a decision for the sysadmins.
