Description Brian McNeil 2007-06-27 11:50:36 UTC
== Introduction ==

On Wikinews we have a policy of archiving all our news stories that are over 7 days old. This is an exception to how most wikis work in that they remain open and an effort is made to keep articles current. On Wikinews articles are a "snapshot" of what was known at a specific point in time. Thus the [http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/WN:ARCHIVE archiving policy].

== Requirement ==

What I would like implemented is some indication in Recent Changes that a change was to a protected article. I mentioned this in IRC (#wikinews) and Brion Vibber suggested showing a padlock icon next to edits to protected pages.

I don't know if semi-protected articles require an indicator, use of that feature is more common on other wikis and it may be wise to consult people there.

Any questions you can look for me in #wikinews on freenode or check my userpage on en.wikinews.
