Description Masao 2007-02-09 15:52:54 UTC
Hi,
Rangeblocks generally affects wide range of users.

In ja.WP, many users frequently complaint and ask about when they are blocked
and who are in charge of it.
Special:Ipblocklist page offers all block information, but extracting range
blocks from there by manual is a difficult task.

Some suggest creating a list of valid range blocks from [[Special:Ipblocklist]].
So I wrote a bot and created semi-automated list at
http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:%E5%BA%83%E5%9F%9F%E3%83%96%E3%83%AD%E3%83%83%E3%82%AF/rangeblocklist

This kind of list will be useful, but I'm concerning about WMF server's overload
and efficiency...
If MediaWiki itself has this feature in nature, more current ongoing information
can be browsable.

# If this feature is available, I could stop my bot...
Comment 1 Masao 2011-10-06 15:19:55 UTC
This feature seems to be supported by recent update of [[Special:BlockList]].
  e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:BlockList?wpTarget=&wpOptions[]=userblocks&wpOptions[]=addressblocks

Thanks!
