two wrong names in main.css need to be renamed to become effective in the recent changes display for new pages and minor edits: 1) span.newpageletter --> span.newpage 2) span.minoreditletter --> span.minor
No reason to change existing behavior (the yellow would look pretty garish anyway, IMO). Rules removed in r19283.

The bug report is about the _names_ of these style elements, not about the values. The bug is about the problem of wrong _names_. Please can you correct the wrong names as indicated ? The enwiki and dewiki _are _using the span.newpage color (they do not use the span.minor color), have a look to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Recentchanges With other words, MediaWiki 1.8.x and 1.9.x use span.newpage and span.minor (and not, as currently in monobook/main.css span.newpageletter and span.minor) Se page source of current http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Recentchanges Both wikis are using <span class="newpage">N</span> and not <span class="newpageletter">N</span>
