Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Comment 1 Rob Church 2006-02-04 20:29:01 UTC
Um, what? Sysops already have rollback. Exactly what are you asking us to do
with it?
Comment 2 Mihai Floran 2006-02-04 20:30:38 UTC
I'm speaking about rollback permissions for another category of users (another
usergroup). Not for administrators (sysop) but for other elected users.
Comment 3 Rob Church 2006-02-04 20:31:44 UTC
Ah, I see. Well that'll have to wait until an improved permissions interface is
completed, then.
Comment 4 Mihai Floran 2006-02-04 20:33:14 UTC
Of course. As proposition: I sugest that Stewards Make Sysop shoud be enhanced
to bureacurats with three usergroups: sysop, bureaucrat and rollback.
[Eventually why not bot :-)]
Comment 5 Rob Church 2006-02-04 20:33:38 UTC
It's in the works.
Comment 6 Mihai Floran 2006-02-04 20:34:39 UTC
I know, thank you.
We'll wait.
Comment 7 Mihai Floran 2006-02-05 20:12:37 UTC
I have also another idea:
Since an user from rowiki is steward (I am), I can activate my steward
Special:Makesysop at rowiki also untill the new permissions board is finished
and if you just install the usergroup at rowiki I can give permissions to users
selected by the community.
Comment 8 Mihai Floran 2006-02-05 20:14:23 UTC
or - if this is not quite possible - i can use my meta interface if you add that
usergroup
Comment 9 Mihai Floran 2006-06-24 09:34:53 UTC
Any news about this issue?
Comment 10 Rob Church 2006-06-24 13:50:07 UTC
There is now an extension in Subversion providing local bureaucrats with the
ability to grant/remove rollback rights from a non-sysop user. This would work
as a stop-gap measure until the user rights interfaces can be gutted and improved.
Comment 11 Mihai Floran 2006-06-24 19:07:12 UTC
Can it be installed here at rowiki?
Comment 12 Mihai Floran 2006-07-21 12:25:09 UTC
Or how can it be used?
