BUG MIGRATED FROM SOURCEFORGE http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=926730&group_id=34373&atid=411192 Originally submitted by Nobody/Anonymous - nobody 2004-03-31 17:03 In my prefs, I have the edit box width set to 40. when I start to edit a page, the text box loads up correctly. But as soon as I type in it, the box extends way beyond the limits of IE. workman161@alltel.net ------------------------- Additional comments ------------------------ Date: 2004-05-05 01:58 Sender: SF user gabrielwicke Which skin are you using, and if it was monobook (test.wikipedia.org), is this still the case? ------------------------------------------------- Date: 2004-06-01 10:48 Sender: SF user gabrielwicke This only happens in the 'old' skins, TODO: remove width pref and fix width handling in skin.
I have the same problem with IE 5.50 (Windows 95) using the monobook skin, only the edit box always takes up the whole width (not just 40 columns or whatever I set), then when I start editing it widens further so that only a sliver of the scroll bar is accessible. Very annoying. No user preference setting fixes the problem.
