Description Waihorace 2011-02-09 08:34:16 UTC
"Wikipedia uses cookies to log in users. You have cookies disabled. Please enable them and try again." is shown on login page on http://prototype.wikimedia.org/rc-en/index.php?title=Special:UserLogin&action=submitlogin&type=login&returnto=Main_Page .

I can sucessful login to http://prototype.wikimedia.org/deployment-zh/ but not http://prototype.wikimedia.org/rc-en/ . Why?
Comment 1 Brion Vibber 2011-02-12 06:10:47 UTC
I'm seeing this on rc-en and rc-ar, which is putting a crimp in my testing style. Bumping prio.

Prototype has a bad session_path setting?
Comment 4 Douglas Gardner 2011-02-17 00:39:41 UTC
[[w:simple:User:Jersey]] is reporting that something similar happened when logging into (1.17) enwikinews for the first time; it told her to enable cookies when they already were, but allowed her to create a local account without any problems.
Comment 5 Mark A. Hershberger 2011-03-13 17:32:45 UTC
can't reproduce.
Comment 6 Joshua C. Lerner 2011-05-19 22:20:01 UTC
To reproduce:

1) login
2) hit "back" (don't log out)
3) submit form again (same or other values)
Comment 7 Platonides 2011-05-19 22:49:27 UTC
The token is being purged on the login. Make the login page not cacheable by the browser?
