On a MediaWiki 1.16.0 installation where we use the FCKeditor extension from SVN we found that if we have an image as such:

[[Image:Tariff-v1.png|frame|right|Tariff components]]

Switching to the Rich Editor (and then back) will rewrite this line to:

[[Image:Tariff-v1.png|frame|right]]

In other words, the caption gets dropped from the Image link.

There is a bug report over at CKEditor ( http://dev.ckeditor.com/ticket/4373 ) that details the same issue.

I am just not sure if this is more of a MediaWiki or CKEditor issue. Best to keep this issue around as a reminder as well.
