The most regular frustration I have with the interface is my inability to quickly and simply customize the links in the sidebar. It would be very useful to be able to set a collection of sidebar links via user preferences, and even modify the default set of sidebar links. Not fun: having to click back and forth to one's own user page to access such links, and being forced to choose between having an informative user page *about* the user, and having a page with lots of useful links within the first screen.
Maybe you should use your browser bookmark :)
That's not very user-friendly. If you want to be that way about it, why not get rid of all sidebar links? There are currently 15 of them, taking up screen space on every page I view... and I use fewer than a third of them. "Having to scroll through my bookmarks" to visit frequent links is also not fun (: The code-free alternative isn't to use bookmarks, but to edit my own CSS file -- however, considering the # of active editors who have their own private "useful links" wiki-template, and don't know how to hack up CSS, I am sure that this would be a well-received enhancement.
