Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Mathias Schindler 2008-02-29 17:19:37 UTC
For various reasons such as decency or (local) copyright, some relevant links in Wikipedia are not given as a clickable link but rather just as a written URL as some sort of compromise, for example at or

Similar to the concept of ISBN link transformation (but this time on the users's site), this feature requests asks for a Gadget at the user's .js that transforms all plain text starting with http:// into a clickable link, used as an opt-in-choice.

There are no "global" Gadgets at the moment. Ask some user to develop this script, then advertise it on different projects so local sysop would make it a Gadget.

This has nothing to do with Bugzilla. Unless you're actually asking for a built-in MediaWiki feature, and another option in preferences.

INVALIDing per AlexSm, gadgets for individual users should be requested elsewhere (like ). Reopen if this is a request for a built-in user preference, though I don't really see that happening.
