Created attachment 4636 [details] MessagesMs.php MessagesMs.php synced to trunk (r30680). Updated and corrected some strings.
Created attachment 4638 [details] Same changes ported into a patch It is better idea to provide a "patch" rather than a file. (To create a patch you need a subversion program installed). Also, for translation changes, you can use http://translatewiki.net/wiki/ I've attached what you provided in the patch format. I'm not familiar with that language and can't confirm the accuracy of translations. However, I see some spaces are removed (like where you changed '← Semakan sebelumnya' to '←Semakan sebelumnya') and I'm not sure if this is appropriate.
That's fine by me. I've submitted a patch before, but a developer complained that he uses Windows and cannot commit. The Betawiki interface is quite cumbersome. I'm comfortable with editing the PHP file directly, because I can update multiple messages at once and the fact that this is the way I work since before the days of Betawiki. There's no worrying about accuracy, as I'm the official maintainer of that language (see the revision log of that file :)). The removal of spaces are in parallel to English messages.
Betawiki now supports offline translation using .po files. You may want to consider using that. P.s. you do appear to have an account on Betawiki, but have not made any edits to translations. Quite a quick verdict, if I may say so...
Yes. But then I discover that I have to submit the .po file all the way back and ask the admins to commit to svn. That is extra work, sir.
Applied with r30903. For your information: 4 message(s) of 1770 are not translated to ms, but exist in en: * delete-legend * proxyblocker-disabled * exif-jpeginterchangeformat * exif-primarychromaticities 1 message(s) of 1770 in ms don't use some variables that en uses: * pagecategories Should be fixed 37 message(s) of 1770 in ms don't use {{plural}} while en uses: ... You said in bug 12834, that these messages are fine. I believe it but just for interest: Why is the PLURAL function not needed here?
Thanks. If you're curious, there's a brief explanation right here: [[ms:Malay language#Pluralization]]
