Description Dan Jacobson 2007-03-15 19:43:10 UTC
In MediaWiki:Sidebar sure one can do

** Special:Allpages|police divisions

But try and put a parameter on something, even with

** {{fullurl:Special:Categories|limit=2222}}|radio frequencies

and one is, how you say, sh*t out of luck.

If one hardwires

** http://radioscanningtw.jidanni.org/index.php?title=Special:Categories&limit=2222 |radio frequencies

it will only work on one page, browsing MediaWiki:Sidebar itself.

As a general sidebar, it gives INVALID-TITLE.

That is invalid usage anyway, it will break XHTML validity.
Comment 2 Brion Vibber 2007-03-15 20:14:21 UTC
Put your fancy template in the message which has the name which you put on the
right side of the bar in the line in MediaWiki:Sidebar.

That is the intended usage.
