Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Roberto 2007-03-03 21:27:55 UTC
I created an account there using my usual username, ReyBrujo. Firefox remembered
the password I chose, and I even received a mail expiring on March 4 to confirm
my address on February 25. Clicking on the confirmation link delivers the
message "Your e-mail address has been confirmed. You may now log in and enjoy
the wiki." However, I can't login, my password is not accepted, and when
clicking on the "E-mail password" button at login, it throws me
the message "आगमन त्रुटी <br>Login error: There is no e-mail address recorded for
user "ReyBrujo".: ईमेल पठाउदा त्रुटी भयो Error sending mail: There is no e-mail
address recorded for user "ReyBrujo".
Comment 1 Roberto 2007-03-03 21:31:12 UTC
To reproduce it, use
as confirmation email, where you will notice it agrees with activating my email.
Then, go to using
ReyBrujo as username, and click the e-mail password button.

There is indeed no user_email although the email got authenticated.
I am not sure about our policy on that kind of matters.

If it's a new account (i.e. no edits) I would suggest to simply set the email
address in the DB by hand. I don't see what harm it could do.
Comment 4 Roberto 2007-04-14 19:57:09 UTC
Thanks for checking this out. I have registered accounts in many other projects
and could not reproduce this. I will appreciate if you could add the mail by
hand (I had just created the account and did not do any edit). As you can see at , I have
registered the nick ReyBrujo in every Wikipedia and related project where I
review databases to catch spam. Thanks for any help you can give me.
