Description Sam Reed (reedy) 2007-02-24 17:23:33 UTC
We've had a bug report on [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:AutoWikiBrowser AWB], from a user
using the cologne blue skin

The bug is
[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:AutoWikiBrowser/Bugs#Edit_process_doesn.27t_work_with_Cologn
e_Blue_skin here]

We have managed to trace it to "id=siteSub" being missing from the html of the skin somewhere

The other skins work fine

Thanks

Sam Reed

Brilliantly, "siteSub" in Monobook-based skins is used for a different chunk of
text than "sitesub"
in non-Monobook-based skins (including Cologne Blue), so this can't be fixed
trivially. Users tend
to complain when their custom style rules break for any reason.
Comment 2 Sam Reed (reedy) 2007-02-25 22:07:22 UTC
I was only passing on something that was found by a user...

If theres nothing that can be fixed, fair enough, just with that one skin seeming to have the problem, i thought
there may have been...
Comment 3 Bryan Baron 2009-09-23 20:12:53 UTC
It should be fixed since AWB now uses the API. No feedback since a while, still an issue?
Comment 4 Sam Reed (reedy) 2009-09-23 20:18:16 UTC
In theory, aye (But yes, we are now using the api). We forced users to use Monobook, and used simple for rendering.

Meh

Feel free to close as wontfix/whatever, doesn't affect us!
Comment 5 Brion Vibber 2009-09-23 20:24:57 UTC
Problem was with 3rd-party software doing its screen-scraping wrong. Closing as invalid.
