Description Steven Thewissen 2006-12-14 10:15:10 UTC
Hi,

When uploading files, I get the following error:

Could not copy file "/tmp/phprPzBu3" to
"/var/www/vhosts/dvolve.org/subdomains/st8kiwi/httpdocs/images/a/a9/FileName.jpg".

The numbers and dirs change for each file I try, but the error never really
goes away. The images directory has sufficient rights (777), and I have no clue where
to go from here to fix this. I've browsed the mailing list, found the same problem multiple times, but
never found a decent solution. I'm running 1.8.2. and all other
functionality works like it should.

Cheers,

Steven

Ensure that PHP's safe_mode and open_basedir restrictions are not enabled.
Comment 2 Steven Thewissen 2006-12-14 10:21:27 UTC
I know safemode is off, because I turned it off, but the site is hosted at a hosting company. What is with the
open_basedir restrictions? Would I need to ask my hosting comany about that or?
Comment 3 Aaron Schulz 2008-05-16 20:29:12 UTC
So are they enabled?
Comment 4 Bryan Tong Minh 2008-09-21 16:31:03 UTC
Old bug probably caused by open_basedir.
