When going to the above page, I get this message: "You are not authorized to view this page You might not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "If you believe you should be able to view this directory or page, please try to contact the Web site by using any e-mail address or phone number that may be listed on the en.wikipedia.org home page. "You can click Search to look for information on the Internet. "HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden Internet Explorer" I've tried to load it using both my work and home computers. My home computer runs Windows XP, and my work computer runs Windows 2000. I also tried using Opera at home. I asked about it at "Wikipedia: Village pump (technical)," and Shardsofmetal replied that it wasn't working for him, either.
Stats are offline for the moment pending resolution of a privacy issue.
What do you mean? Also, when will they will go back up again?
1. A privacy issue has occurred, cue the legal fanfares. I'm not aware of what happened, but I'm guessing the statistics generator included some information that shouldn't be made public. Obviously, this becomes one of those hideous little legal issues we have to tiptoe around, and the statistics were taken offline to prevent anyone getting at that information. 2. The statistics will be made available again when (a) any personal information or similar is no longer available there and (b) when the scripts and tools are modified such that they won't be re-generating this.
