Description walter 2006-09-11 14:42:37 UTC
on 3 different occasions i got problems because other people started
editing/moving ... etc the page i was working on.

I would like to see a 'beta-mode' (like beta software). Where only the autor and
invited users (see: beta-tester)
can edit the page. Basicly that could be archived on an administrative level but
it would be helpful for any casual
writer who writes a article and want some input from others without that people
with good intention start in between.

I see this as a way to improve collaborative writing comparable to develloping
software.

i am not aware that anything like this exists in wikipedia and i do not exspect
to see it in the next version.

Try making a draft in your user space, with a notice at the top not to edit it.
Then just move it when it's done.
