Please see the page "Qilin". When I added the middle picture, some 
subarticles have no "edit" links, another has three. Removing the 
middle picture should clear this up. This also occured with two 
pictures when the thumb specifications were moved lower in the text 
in an attempt to get a more favorable page layout.

This behaviour is correct in so far as that it is prescribed by CSS.  You have
placed three images at the top of the wiki text; because each of them has the
"clear: right" property set, it pushes right-floating elements that follow it
(including the section editing links) further down.

I have fixed the article in such a way that it no longer displays this symptom.
