Description Sebastian Moleski 2006-08-24 13:59:31 UTC
The setup looks like a typical Wikipedia installation. Please set up interwiki
links similar to http://en.wikiversity.org/ and enable meta as an import source.
Finally, could an interwiki prefix be set up for beta.wikiversity? Potentially
v:beta (beta as language code)?
Comment 1 Sebastian Moleski 2006-08-24 14:15:22 UTC
Please also add en.wikiversity.org as an import source.
Comment 2 Guillaume Paumier 2006-09-14 13:09:43 UTC
As requested, the "import" part has been moved to Bug 7321. This bug now only
concerns concerns interwiki links & prefix.
Comment 3 Shinjiman 2006-12-08 08:37:08 UTC
By the way, would the developers please add the full form of the interwiki link
for Wikiversity wikis for example: [[wikiversity:]]? the short form [[v:]]
cannot be linked to the other languages of Wikiversity wikis.
Comment 4 Shinjiman 2007-03-08 01:26:09 UTC
Just have a review of this bug, there's nothing to do within the shell config,
that's all we need to do is to add an entry at [[m:Interwiki map]] to adding the
interwiki prefix. However, this operation should be done by a sysop in the Meta-Wiki.

Making this bug as INVALID.

I have added the full form [[wikiversity:]]. Though, this does not solve the
interwiki problem. [[v:beta:X]] does not redirect to
http://beta.wikiversity.org/wiki/X . See for instance
http://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Beta:Main_Page which is a soft redirect because
this interwiki link does not work).

I believe only sysadmins can change that. Am I wrong? If I am, feel free to
reclose the bug.
Comment 6 Shinjiman 2007-03-20 04:25:42 UTC
For this issue, please add an entry like [betawikiversity/beta-
wikibersity/wikiversity-beta/etc...] in the [[m:Interwiki map]]. The behaviour is
like the oldwikisource interwiki link which links to wikisource.org. Wouldn't have
the prior discussion in Talk:Interwiki map regarding to set up the interwiki link to
beta Wikiversity (http://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?
title=Talk:Interwiki_map&oldid=545231#Wikiversity)?
Comment 7 Guillaume Paumier 2007-03-20 21:09:19 UTC
Ok, I have added a entry betawikiversity <=> http://beta.wikiversity.org. Thanks
for your help.
