in Special:Preferences, under 'Recent Changes' add the checkboxes: [ ] hide bot changes from recent changes [ ] hide my own edits from recent changes (or 'show' instead of 'hide') similar to what we have already for the watchlist.
change Component to "user preferences" Please have a look at bug 16957 for more option for newpages
This seem minimally useful if at all, IMHO. The point of bots is to avoid RC flood, you can always click "show bots" if you want to see them. As for "own edits", unless you are one of a very very few editors, it just won't matter.
I think to show bots per default is useful on small wikis or wikis who have botservice to inform over change, like the betawiki/translatewiki. To hide own edits per default is useful on betawiki, where only a few translater edit on a language and I will not see my edits. In other context it is not needed, that right. But please implements it for small wikis or special wikis with a few editors. For other wikis it does not matter and it does not broke the preference, so I see no problem.
Changed component to "RecentChanges"
