Description Purodha Blissenbach 2006-08-15 15:24:24 UTC
Special:ExpandTemplates has an 'OK' button which does not show up in the MediaWiki Name Space.
It should, so as to be translated to other languages.
Comment 1 Aryeh Gregor (not reading bugmail, please e-mail directly) 2006-08-15 15:37:02 UTC
That should be [[MediaWiki:Ok]]. Have you tried editing it?
Comment 2 Raimond Spekking 2006-08-15 16:25:59 UTC
[[MediaWiki:Ok]] is used at the new special page, but e.g. on deWP it is renamed
to "Suche" (Search). A new message especially for ExpandTemplates would be great.
Comment 3 Aryeh Gregor (not reading bugmail, please e-mail directly) 2006-08-15 16:31:38 UTC
Ah. I assume "ok" is meant to be something generic like "yes" or "good", not
something more specific like "search", but reasonable enough point: some
localizations might want more specific messages. In that case, you want
[[MediaWiki:Ok]] to be removed entirely and replaced with use-specific messages.
Comment 4 Purodha Blissenbach 2006-08-15 17:33:50 UTC
Yes - [[MediaWiki:Ok]] (as well as [[MediaWiki:Go]] and [[MediaWiki:Search]]) are
being reused quite often. Each use should be replaced by an idividual message, since
they cannot safely be assumed to share a translations in most languages / contexts.

I replaced message 'ok' with 'expand_template_ok' in r16275.
Comment 7 Jimmy Collins 2006-08-29 21:51:36 UTC
expand_templates_ok (see r16276)
