I tried downloading => opening up in Photoshop => save => upload to no avail.

Its unrelated to that bug. Its because its a large progressive JPEG file. For big jpeg files, we only support scaling baseline format jpegs, not progressive.

I converted the file in question to baseline with jpegtran.


Duping to bug 3862, although i'm not sure I agree with the resolution to that bug.

Flickr2Commons didn't transfer a lot of the images from this photographer. Is this caused by the same problem + something that can be fixed?
