Description Slade <Schmitt> 2006-05-13 04:17:08 UTC
I request a new namespace on pt.wikinews. Please create the domain
Portal:

*Language Code: pt
*Local Request Link: [[n:pt:User
talk:Carlosar#Re:_Ajuda_com_Portais_no_Wikinot.C3.ADcias]]
*Local User Page: n:pt:User:Slade

The two admins in pt.wikinews (Get_It and
Carlosar) request the creation of the domain portal. I
am not sure if here is the best place to request it, but you can tell me. For
more info, see the portal in EN wikinews. Thank you.

Unless I've managed to be successfully confused too, someone's seriously mixed
up namespaces and subdomains. Given the link supplied as an example, I'm going
to suggest they want the former.

If this is a request for a namespace "Portal" the assocuated TALKSPACE should
probably be "Portak_Discussão".

Sorry!
Comment 4 Slade <Schmitt> 2006-05-14 00:59:44 UTC
Yes, the talkspace is "Portal Discussão". Do you can create? Another question:
do you can rename a namespace? Greets
Comment 5 Platonides 2006-05-14 10:34:32 UTC
Yes, they could
Comment 6 Slade <Schmitt> 2006-05-14 19:38:18 UTC
So, in pt.wikinews rename the domain "Artigo" to "Notícia". Greets
Comment 7 Antoine "hashar" Musso (WMF) 2006-05-17 22:07:25 UTC
Portal set on ptwikinews.

For the main namespace tab, you can probably fix it by editing:
http://pt.wikinews.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Article

You might want to change all occurences of Artigo to Noticia in
http://pt.wikinews.org/wiki/Especial:Allmessages :o)

Thanks, i will be move the pages from domain "Portal". Other question: in
editcount
(http://tools.wikimedia.de/~interiot/cgi-bin/count_edits?user=Slade&dbname=ptwikinews_p),
the "Portal" namespace appears in "Unknown namespace 100"... Greets
