Description Ltrlg 2013-08-23 15:07:11 UTC
If I focus on the save button using [tab] from textarea, [enter] don’t save the page.

Apparently the focus goes on the <div role="button"> while the click event is listened on the span.

I also have this issue in Chrome 29 on OSX. Tabbing to Save page then hitting Enter does nada.

Merging with bug 51918.

I'm reopening this rather than creating a new one, because it's not exactly a problem with the tab order.

Here's how to reproduce this: Open the Save dialog. Type your edit summary. Press the tab key seven times. Everything tabs beautifully, in exactly the order I wish for. Really: Bug 51918 is resolved as far as I'm concerned. The problem is not the tab ORDER.

The problem is that when I have successfully tabbed to the Save button, the Save button is BROKEN. The Save button is selected. There is a lovely blue box around it. But it refuses to actually save the page when you press return. It just sits there until, having pressed return twenty or thirty times, gone away in the hope that the server is just being slow, come back and hit the return key another dozen times or so, you finally conclude that it is not actually possible to save the page without taking your hands off the keyboard.

That's the problem: "Unable to use save button using keyboard". No amount of rearranging the deck chairs, I mean the tab order, is going to solve this problem. The button itself is broken, not the tab order.

The tick boxes for "Minor edit" and "Watch this page" can be tabbed to and toggled with the spacebar. The links to the GFDL and other license stuff can be tabbed to and opened by pressing return. But the "Review your changes" and "Save" buttons are broken. There is no way to "click" those buttons without actually using a mouse/trackpad.

No, this bug as filed was indeed a duplicate of bug 51918. There's the subsequently-filed bug 62337 which tracks your comment.
