For the MediaWiki:Confirmdeletetext message, $1 should be a parameter for the
name of the deleted page (equivalent to {{FULLPAGENAME}} if on the page).  I
feel (despite my unfamiliarity with the code) that this should be relatively
easy.  If possible, it would also be useful to provide namespace (equivalent to
{{NAMESPACE}}) as $2 and {{PAGENAME}} as $3 but that could be more difficult.

Never mind.  You CAN use {{FULLPAGENAME}}, {{PAGENAME}} and such because you're
technically still on the page (just with a different edit).
