Description Monomium 2013-02-23 19:33:24 UTC
The new Account creation user experience deployed to ENWP is vastly superior but they shouldn't get to have all the fun. Besides, Wikipedia editors who come to Commons will be confused that the interface is different.

This requires some dependencies and I'm not sure about the exact configuration, but it would be nice to have.
Comment 1 Steven Walling 2013-02-24 23:43:54 UTC
This needs to wait on implementation of the new interface in core (bug 44628), instead of the current implementation in Extension:E3Experiments.
Comment 2 Steven Walling 2013-04-24 07:41:45 UTC
https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/57823/ has been merged, so this will happen soon.
Comment 3 Matthew Flaschen 2013-04-25 23:43:32 UTC
It can now be tested at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UserLogin/signup?useNew=1 . The next step in a little while will be to make it default (without needing to pass useNew).
Comment 4 Tomasz W. Kozlowski 2013-06-12 22:02:04 UTC
This is now the default user experience on Commons, so I'm closing this bug as RESOLVED FIXED.
