An image displaying three examples of the parse errors, two under 'Links' and one under 'Files'.

In the Edit page on MediaWiki, test2, and Wikidata if you select the 'Help' feature on the toolbar and select 'Links' in the index list, you'll see a parse error next to 'External link' under 'What you type' and a parse error under 'What you get'. There are other parser errors within the Help feature, as well.

Select 'Files', 'References', or 'Discussion' to see other parse errors.

These parse errors don't show up on en.wikipedia. According to the current Roadmap (https://www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=MediaWiki_1.21/Roadmap&oldid=63008) 1.21wmf8 is deployed on test, test2, MediaWiki, and Wikidata and the other Wikipedias and non-Wikipedia sites are still running 1.21wmf7.

https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42107 is a similar report, but I've used the Reference help recently without seeing a parse error.

I now see two parse errors in en.wikipedia's edit page. Under Help->Discussion, the 'Signature with timestamp' row displays "wikieditor-toolbar-help-content-signaturetimestamp-result: Parse error at position 19 in input:" under the 'What you get' column and "wikieditor-toolbar-help-content-signature-result: Parse error at position 19 in input:" is in the 'Signature' row under the same column.

These are the only parse errors I see on en.wikipedia. Non-Wikipedia sites are now showing the same parse errors I saw on MediaWikia and the others listed in the description.

I don't see the errors anymore. Closing as WORKSFORME.

I see this error in 1.21.3. And I wonder whether it might be related to another bug, namely the signature button in WikiED disappearing alltogether when WikiEd is part of a semantic form (semantic mediawiki). I.E. it is there when editing the page with "edit"; it is not there, when editing the page with "edit with form" (in this case, the next button after "bold" is "link".
