Description Sage Ross 2012-10-29 18:25:58 UTC
When I try to create a new course on test2.wikipedia.org (tested at [1] and other pages), I get this error:

PHP fatal error in /usr/local/apache/common-local/php-1.21wmf3/includes/content/ContentHandler.php line 88:
Argument 1 passed to ContentHandler::getContentText() must implement interface Content, boolean given, called in /usr/local/apache/common-local/php-1.21wmf3/includes/Article.php on line 390 and defined

(clarifying summary)
Comment 2 Jeroen De Dauw 2012-10-29 19:37:27 UTC
Looks like stuff that broke because of the content handler changes. Will look at this soonish, because it will affect enwiki as well.
Comment 3 Rob Lanphier 2012-10-30 01:24:31 UTC
Weird, how was this not a problem with 1.21wmf2?
Comment 4 Sage Ross 2012-10-30 01:32:53 UTC
Rob, I hadn't done any testing that involved the offending function since 1.21.wmf1 (possibly earlier).

New commit: https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/30901/
Comment 7 Sage Ross 2012-11-12 18:27:07 UTC
Jeroen, I see that the commit for this is marked abandoned and that there's a different fix in the works. Can we get some sort of interim fix immediately to make the extension usable? At this point, the live extension on en.wikipedia.org is still broken and we can't trial the extension with the class that volunteered for it this term.
Comment 8 Sage Ross 2012-11-16 17:40:42 UTC
That commit has been restored and deployed, and course page creation works now.
