Description Srikanth Logic 2012-08-02 10:52:35 UTC
Open the url http://ta.wikipedia.org/s/l2x first time on browser. fails with 404. Force reload from browser, redirects to wiki page.

Is there any caching issue in this?
Comment 1 Sam Reed (reedy) 2012-08-02 14:24:23 UTC
I've not had this, unless the URLs had been visited pre the inclusion of the redirects on the apache config, and as such the squids had cached it
Comment 2 Bawolff (Brian Wolff) 2012-08-02 14:59:32 UTC
Does appear to be squid issue:

Age	25098
Cache-Control	s-maxage=2678400, max-age=2678400
Connection	close
Content-Length	5051
Content-Type	text/html; charset=utf-8
Date	Thu, 02 Aug 2012 07:58:50 GMT
Server	Apache
X-Cache	HIT from cp1014.eqiad.wmnet, MISS from cp1008.eqiad.wmnet
X-Cache-Lookup	HIT from cp1014.eqiad.wmnet:3128, MISS from cp1008.eqiad.wmnet:80
X-Wikimedia-Debug	prot=http:// serv=ta.wikipedia.org loc=/s/l2x
refresh	5; url=http://ta.wikipedia.org/wiki/s/l2x

Hard refresh of course bypasses the squids.
Comment 3 Yuvi Panda 2012-12-18 08:58:42 UTC
Closing, since I don't think this should be an issue anymore (Squid shouldn't be caching any of these before they are created)
