incorrectly displayed matrix with MathJax

The generated MathJax script is incorrect when displaying a matrix. Wiki math format says to put "&" in between elements of a matrix, and this is rendered correctly as png, but in the MathJax script, the "&" are replaced with "&" which is displayed as "amp;".

What should happen: matrices should be displayed correctly with MathJax.
