Many users fail to realise that they can actualy edit their sig. Most of them dont know how. So it is in the best interest of all of the people who just want to leave a msg to the talk page of a user as the actual user page is really not as visisted.

The default signature is blank.
when signed by ~~~~ you get [[User:selfusername]] I wish when ~~~~ we get [[User:selfusername]] [[User talk:selfusername]] or something along the line
So you want the signature box prepopulated with [[User:Username|Username]] ([[User_talk:Username|talk]]) then?
something like that. its a paint to respond to people without a "talk" link

Inquiry: If this is fixed, why is it that the sigs are still not properly rendering? I see no talk links? :/
It was fixed in r11556, and later reverted in r11565, by Ævar and Brion, respectively.
Guess that's a WONTFIX then. :)
Is this not fixed? I have seen usernames with default talk page links...
Of interest, bug 11913 (not sure if that set the default or just the ability to customize).
