Description p_simoons 2005-08-30 18:17:08 UTC
It would be convenient to have a rollback button at the top of the
special:history page. Presently, you have to find the user's contribs log to do
a rollback.
Comment 1 Brion Vibber 2005-08-30 22:24:56 UTC
A rollback link should show on the diff page, which is itself directly visible from history.
You should generally hit diffs before reverting to confirm that it's vandalism.
Comment 2 p_simoons 2005-09-01 08:00:14 UTC
Not necessarily. If you are familiar with a page because you visit it daily, you
can easily see at the page itself if/when it has been compromised.
Comment 3 James Hess 2006-01-09 04:28:24 UTC
And if the damage was done two edits ago instead of the most recent edit?

Your rollback may then be reversing a legitimate edit, and the vandalism remains
in place...
Comment 4 p_simoons 2006-01-09 10:38:01 UTC
The request was for a rollback button at the TOP, thus only reversing the latest
edit (or multiple edits by one person) like it does now.

Added in r17715.

This concern is, I think, obviated by Werdna's lovely new "autoadd edit summary
for probable vandalism" thing.
