Please enable the Calendar extension on the Outreach wiki. Chapters would like to use it to show GLAM event schedules. Thanks!
Since this extension isn't deployed anywhere it will need review. http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WMF_Extensions http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Writing_an_extension_for_deployment
-shell, not in a position to deploy at this moment in time
There are a number of different calendar extensions listed at [[mw:Extension:Calendar]] and none of those appear to be in SVN. Which of the Calendar extensions are you talking about?
It seems the interest is in this one: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Calendar_(Kenyu73) I'll try to get the stakeholders to comment here themselves...
Asaf, can you confirm that it's the https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Calendar_%28Kenyu73%29 calendar? Thanks.
Yes, that's the one. Thanks.
Emailed extension maintainer to ask them about this. I see that this extension is now not maintained: https://code.google.com/p/mw-calendar/ The replacement is: https://code.google.com/p/mwcalendar/ which is in beta. Asaf, would the stakeholders prefer a different calendar now, or would they want to work with the developer to get the new extension out of beta?
Asaf: Could you answer comment 7 please? Note that in the meantime, one Calendar extension was deployed for use by Wikivoyage (see bug 41111 comment 8).
I really don't know. I only volunteered to file the ticket, thinking it was a quick "turn this on" request. Since it isn't, the stakeholders will need to put in the time to get this resolved. I have just sent a note on the cultural-partners list to that effect. If no one shows up in a few days, this can be assumed to no longer be wanted.
FYI, Mike Peel enabled some microformat on [[m:IRC office hours]] to make it convertable in standard calendar format and [[mw:Template:Event]] has just been revamped. I hope some experience can be recycled.
Re the microformats route, see http://microformats.org/wiki/index.php?title=h2vx&diff=prev&oldid=46543#robots.txt_prevents_subscription_in_Google_Reader

Asaf said that in January of 2013, ie: almost 6 months ago now. Closing as INVALID only because the request is no longer wanted. Thanks.
