added the magic word WIKICONTENTDIR and applied it to the message filepath-summary

A magic word for getting the content language's direction is needed. It is useful, for example in Special:FilePath, which says "{{ns:file}}:". If you're using an RTL wiki with uselang=en, the ':' will be displayed at the wrong end of the word, so you need to set its direction explicitly.

According to SPQRobin's suggestion, i added the magic word WIKICONTENTDIR and applied it to that message. It may be useful in other messages, too.
Comment 1 Niklas Laxström 2011-09-16 05:15:42 UTC
My only complaint is that this adds a lot of markup to the messages. We know that translators easily get it wrong and try to keep it in minimum.
Comment 2 Brion Vibber 2011-09-16 17:04:47 UTC
Yeah, this seems like it would just infect a billion messages and be very error-prone. Further, it still won't be correct if that namespace name is actually in Latin characters -- which may easily happen with custom namespaces.
Comment 3 Mark A. Hershberger 2011-09-16 17:13:28 UTC
ergh... setting to lowest to reflect Niklas and Brion's comments, but might be WONTFIX
Comment 4 Niklas Laxström 2011-09-16 17:17:10 UTC
The magic word itself can be useful, but not like this.
Comment 5 Amir E. Aharoni 2011-09-18 20:00:46 UTC
I agree with Niklas - there's no need for so much markup in the message.

I reopened the problem with Special:FilePath as Bug 30977. Since i don't currently know any other messages where this magic word would be useful, i don't mind having this bug closed as LATER.
Comment 6 Amir E. Aharoni 2011-10-04 06:55:11 UTC
Marking LATER.

[Removing RESOLVED LATER as discussed in http://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikitech-l/2012-November/064240.html and setting WONTFIX, as a usecase is missing.]
