Description sharon.dagan 2011-09-05 22:28:00 UTC
Allow users to edit existing citations in-place.
The current method is difficult - users have to first edit the article, then search for the place where the citation is defined, and only then change it.

Doesn't Extension:InlineEditor do this, or at least make it easy for Cite to support this?
Comment 2 Max Semenik 2011-09-06 04:47:41 UTC
InlineEditor doesn't help in cases when piece of text being edited contains only <ref name="foo"> and we need to change the citation text.

Perhaps integrating ProveIt is a good idea? http://proveit.cc.gatech.edu/
Comment 4 Gadget850 2014-09-24 09:08:55 UTC
These seem redundant or overlapping:
Bug 2745 - Have References text edit window on Edit pages
Bug 30777 - In-place editing of citations
Bug 31672 - Add JS popup citation creator

Does VisualEditor fill the requirements?
