Description FoeNyx 2005-07-21 14:24:30 UTC
Having a list of pair of (referers -> articles) from squids and with a list of
main media by languages : press, radio, tv and govermental web sites.
(example
"en:" → cnn.com, bbc.co.uk, cbs.com, nyt, slashdot.org, *.gov, *.gov.uk,
*.gov.au ... ;
"de:" → spiegel.de, *.gov.at ... ;
"fr:" → lemonde.fr, france2.fr, *.gouv.fr, *.gouv.qc.ca, *.admin.ch, *.fgov.be
...;
"ja:" → yomiuri.co.jp, *.go.jp ... ;
etc ...)
It would be possible :
* to do a list of ordonned sum of hits from this sites per project/language/country;
* to list per referer the wiki articles they links;

Please see bug #3028 for a more general treatment of the same thing.
Comment 2 FoeNyx 2005-08-07 20:13:26 UTC
Well it's because the direct access to referer log (even without ip addresses)
was refused to me several times, and that finally logwood was developped that I
formulated this feature request, so no it's not really a duplicate.
Comment 3 MZMcBride 2008-10-20 07:03:49 UTC
Resolving as WONTFIX. Wikimedia wikis no longer use Logwood.
