If I view
  https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Main_Page
and click on "Languages / Deutsch" I arrive at
  http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Hauptseite
but I want to stay in HTTPS/SSL, thus I want to be brought to
  https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/de/wiki/Wikipedia:Hauptseite
.

The links on the bottom "Wikipedia languages" work fine for me.

The language links as well, although those depend on JavaScript, but still, they do point to the secure server (unless JavaScript is deactivated).

Langlinks use the interwiki table which can only have 1 value for an interwiki code.

iw_prefix: de
simply has:
iw_url: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/$1

Sure, since I am concerned about security I have disabled JavaScript. :-)
