Description Guttorm Flatabø 2005-06-16 13:49:00 UTC
At various points i the user interface for the history feature there are links
to pages that don't lead anywhere new.

An example of the correct behavious are the "cur" and "last" links on history
pages. The first item in the history have no "last" link because there is no
revision to compare to, and the same goes for the last revision and the "cur" link.

There are those function that don't have this behaviour though:

History: View (previous 50) (next 50) (20 | 50 | 100 | 250 | 500)
No matter how many revisions the history have these will always link.

Watching a revision in history: ←Older revision | Newer revision→
These will also link even if its the first page in history or the last.

The issue with the older/newer links is covered by bug 1122.

There is in fact no last link on the earliest item in a page history.

Please file any other particular issues as distinct bugs so we can keep track of them (and check
for dupes).

You mean there's no "(cur)" link? That's not what I was refering to.

If you go to
http://test.leuksman.com/index.php?title=This_is_a_test_333&action=history
you'll see that there's a "View menu" like this:

 View (previous 50) (next 50) (20 | 50 | 100 | 250 | 500).

even though the history only has 17 revisions!

In fact, if you click on "(nex 50)" you will get a history page with the last
(oldest) revision on the first (17 item) history page (oldid 1219). If you then
click on "(next 50)" you get an empty history page (but you still click "(next
50)", and so on).

I fixed that one a long time ago. It works in 1.7, was surely
working in 1.6.
