Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description lɛʁi לערי ריינהארט 2005-06-09 07:24:28 UTC
I opened this bug as a separate issue related to bug 2358.

Submits with &action=edit&section=new could check if a similar section already
exists. Most cases there would be differences anyway because of the value of the
timestamp used in the signature but maybe this could be handeled.

Anyhow it would be better to overwrite a section where only the timestamp
differs then insering it again.

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 1600 ***

For clarity, this bug was fixed by patch 1169 on bug 1600, but is not actually a
duplicate of that bug (there was a misunderstanding).
