Description Derk-Jan Hartman 2010-05-13 18:57:21 UTC
From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:User_experience_feedback/New_features#problems_with_Opera_2.7

"I cannot see the languages or what is under interaction, toolbox, or print/export even when I click on them, (nothing happpens)."
Comment 1 conti.wikipedia 2010-05-16 17:51:54 UTC
I can confirm that for Opera 10.53. The sidebars simply won't expand, so interwikis, user contributions etc. are inaccessible.

The same problem exists with Opera Mini 5 beta 2. Specific sidebars that cannot be clicked or opened include "Interaction", "Toolbox", "Print/export", and "Languages".

JS errors on Opera 9.26 Mac

The errors i have in my console using Opera 9.26 for Mac OSX
Comment 5 Derk-Jan Hartman 2010-05-31 19:45:12 UTC
Can we please do something about this GRAVE usability error on older browsers, as well as Opera Mini and playstations ?

Too many people have been bothered by this for several weeks now. It really needs to be more tolerant in case of problems.
Comment 6 Chris McKenna 2010-06-03 23:49:19 UTC
None of the collapsible menus on the left work. The mouse pointer changes, but no matter how much clicking you do, or where you do the clicking, you can not access any of the tools (that imho should not be hidden by default anyway)
Comment 7 Chris McKenna 2010-06-03 23:50:16 UTC
Oops should have said that this is the experience in Konqueror 3.5.10 (Using KDE 3.5.10) on Kubuntu 9.04
Comment 8 Roan Kattouw 2010-06-04 18:46:39 UTC
Blacklisted Opera below 9.8 and Konqueror below 4.0 for the collapsible navigation.
Comment 9 Russell Blau 2010-08-17 21:53:36 UTC
At some point in the past month, this bug has returned on Opera Mini 5 beta 2.
Comment 10 Michael M. 2010-09-18 07:32:33 UTC
There are three reports on de that this bug occurs on Opera 10.61 and 10.62 (both Windows and Linux). Reinstalling Opera helped in one case.

Yes, thats really everything. But when it starts like this
> User Javascript thread
> ...
> Backtrace:
> Line 966 of User JS script
I think you should look in your own backyard at first.

As far as I have no problems in any Opera Version (since 9.62), a better error log would help a lot.

The error-throwing lines with the cookie for the portal-navigation have been modified, this might have fixed the "TypeError".

Unassigning default assignments. http://article.gmane.org/gmane.science.linguistics.wikipedia.technical/54734
Comment 13 Andre Klapper 2013-03-13 15:33:36 UTC
Sidebar is accessible on http://en.wikipedia.org/?useskin=vector works fine with Opera 12.13 and Konqueror 4.8.5 on Linux (not being logged in).

However, Konqueror 4.8.5 does not allow collapsing/expanding.
Comment 14 Andre Klapper 2013-08-31 22:54:14 UTC
[Moving to "Vector" as that is a slightly better place.]
Comment 15 Bartosz Dziewoński 2014-08-29 11:42:30 UTC
The navigation is no longer collapsible now.
Comment 16 Nemo 2014-08-29 11:45:54 UTC
(Due to bug 39035.)
