I can reproduce it when the page (article) does not exist. As we auto-fill and auto-suggest the existing articles and we do not want to encourage users from creating links which do not link to actual pages, I do not see this as issue.
I disagree. If people accidentally do insert a link to a nonexistent page, the last letter of the text will drop off and they'll have to spend time figuring out why the hell that happened. This feature is broken and should be easy to fix.
