Description Chaoji Li 2009-06-08 02:55:43 UTC
This bug is only repro on IE7 and IE8’s compatible view. The root cause is relative positioned elements is not clipped by its parent, although the parent has overflow:hidden style.

You can find there is a "book shelves" element with width "1100%", and not clipped by its parent.

This has been a wellknown problem in ie7, A common fix is to add a “position:relative” to the parent.

Reporting this since is it is weird, and leaves a lot of white space on the page.
