Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.

You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Umherirrender 2009-05-08 14:18:29 UTC
When "view source" of a page with cascading protection (see URL), the information, that this page is the owner of the cascade protection is missing on the user interface. This can helpful for normal user, which want editing a include templates from the "Templates used on this page" section, but he cannot.

The English version only says "This page has been protected to prevent editing or other actions."
The German version is more verbose: "Diese Seite ist für das Bearbeiten gesperrt. Gründe für den Seitenschutz finden sich im Seitenschutz-Logbuch, auf der Diskussionsseite oder in den Regeln für geschützte Seiten."

Similarly under "Templates used on this page", English only offers "(semi-protected)" and "(protected)" while German says "(schreibgeschützt für unangemeldete und neue Benutzer)" and "(schreibgeschützt)".
