Description Brion Vibber 2009-03-03 00:28:37 UTC
Currently some configuration files, such as the Squid error pages and php.ini, are being maintained solely through packages, or a combination of packages and a script that sometimes updates things, or.... just sort of not maintained at all.

This kinda sucks, and it tends to cause needed config or style tweaks to get pushed back because people don't want to have to worry about how to update them correctly.

We plan to use Puppet to maintain consistency of package versions and configuration files, but this has not yet reached production.

Is this bug still relevant and are its blockers actually blocked?
Comment 2 Antoine "hashar" Musso (WMF) 2013-02-01 13:31:03 UTC
We are now using puppet for almost everything, there are still some leftover though which should be made new tickets.
