Description Nihiltres 2008-06-07 18:38:51 UTC
I recently decided that, for the hell of it, I'd change my signature to look vaguely like a template call. I changed it to code along the lines of
<nowiki>{{</nowiki>(rest of the sig)<nowiki>}}</nowiki>
which should be perfectly valid, only to find that it was automatically changed to
<nowiki>{{SUBST:</nowiki>(rest of the sig)<nowiki>}}</nowiki>.

While there's an easy workaround ("<nowiki>{</nowiki>{(rest of the sig)}<nowiki>}</nowiki>"), it's an obvious, if trivial, bug. Causing whatever code is used to add "SUBST:" to ignore content within valid nowiki tags would solve it.
